Strengthening Climate-Smart Farming in Bewoman and Obrakyere: How E-Organics Is Supporting Smallholder Farmers With Digital Tools and Training

Across Bewoman and Obrakyere, smallholder farmers are navigating a rapidly changing climate that affects rainfall patterns, soil health, and crop productivity. Over the past months, E-Organics has been deepening its work in these communities through targeted training, advisory support, and hands-on demonstrations that show how climate-smart agriculture and digital innovation can improve resilience and yields.

The sessions brought together women and men farmers under the shade of local trees to explore practical tools they can apply immediately on their farms. A key focus was helping farmers understand how climate data, regenerative practices, and simple digital tools can guide better planting decisions, reduce losses, and protect tree-based livelihoods.

Through community consultations, our team worked with farmers to map their challenges, from erratic rains to declining soil fertility. We introduced them to E-Organics’ advisory model, which blends field demonstrations with hyper-local insights delivered through phone-based tools and cooperative extension support. Farmers received guidance on soil preparation, seedling management, and tree-crop integration, along with practical support for shaping their farms and preparing land for improved productivity.

The trainings also highlighted the role of indigenous knowledge in climate resilience. Farmers shared their own observations of land health, helping us co-design solutions that work for their realities. This approach continues to shape our mission of bringing precision agriculture and community knowledge together for sustainable impact.

These activities form part of our ongoing commitment to farmers across Central and Northern Ghana, ensuring that digital innovation is not distant technology but a tool embedded in daily farming life.
